Since our company was founded in 1953, Campbell Construction has been providing construction management services for a wide range of construction projects, from industrial and commercial buildings to institutional construction in NE Ohio. And in addition to our general construction management services, our staff excels in Design-Build construction management.

So what is involved with construction management, whether for traditional construction or design-build projects? The role of a construction manager is to oversee the planning, design and construction of a project from start to finish.

In Design-Build construction management, we forge a single contract with the building owner to provide architectural, engineering and construction management services. As the design-build contractor, we are both the designer and the construction manager of record and therefore assume the responsibilities and risks of cost, schedule, quality, and management of the entire project from beginning to end.

In this project delivery system, Campbell does not utilize its staff of trade people but rather subcontracts the entire project. Our job is to perform/oversee the design/engineering of the project, manage the bidding process, select subcontractors/suppliers for the project, obtain all permits and then direct the day-to-day activities on-site until the project is completed to the owner’s satisfaction.
