Ques Industries, a Cleveland, Ohio, based firm founded in 1983 by Quentin Meng is a leader in private label blending and toll manufacturing of dry and liquid chemicals.
They offer a variety of water treatment products, cleaner, and specialty products for several industries such as transportation, steel manufacturing, metal and food processing.
In order to blend and manufacture products efficiently for customers, Ques currently operates a state-of-the-art 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility which is environmentally friendly and ISO certified.
The company is entering its second generation of family leadership with Colton Meng at the helm and has experienced significant growth over the last decade. Due to this growth, they sought to expand the size of their facility in order to meet demand.
To assist with the building addition, they contacted Campbell Construction to design and build their expansion.
The Campbell team was tasked with designing and constructing a 29,700 square foot addition onto the existing facility in order to increase manufacturing capacity. The new space utilized a Butler pre-engineered metal building that would comprise the majority of the addition.
A total of 8,868 square feet of the addition included a conventionally framed area with load-bearing masonry walls and was designed with two distinct fire areas. The two fire areas are separated from each other with 3-hour fire rated masonry walls. One area is rated for H-3 hazardous use group; the other is rated for H-4.
Our crews were brought on to install a new recessed truck dock, access road, parking lot, and improve utility systems.
Campbell Construction added a new sprinkler riser to cover the addition with the existing fire suppression system, install a new stormwater storage system (with underground detention), and new electrical and natural gas service. Water and sewer were also connected from the existing building, along with other necessary work to finish the addition.
The entire Campbell Construction team would like to wish Ques Industries the best of luck with their new addition and as they continue to grow in the future!

Campbell Construction is pleased to announce we are working on construction for a new production facility for the well-respected Seco Machine company, based in Stark County.
Since 1985, Seco Machine has continually grown from its roots as a family-owned machining company into an industry leader for machining and rail car bearing units for the Timken Company. The company today has continued to see growth for its rail car parts, as well as its cast urethane and molded urethane parts.
Seco started out working from a facility in the heart of Canton, Ohio before its reputation to fill orders quickly and provide quality products fueled its growth to constantly larger production facilities.
So when Seco came to Campbell Construction to perform work constructing their newest industrial building in the city of Green (located in neighboring Summit County), we were excited to work with such a well-respected leader in its field.
We were selected to design and construct a brand new 109,000 square foot pre-engineered building from Butler Manufacturing Corporation for Seco’s manufacturing needs. The facility will also include an attached 11,000 square foot office area that is conventionally framed.
Additionally, the manufacturing area will include two conventionally framed mezzanine areas with load-bearing masonry walls to incorporate offices, restrooms, driver’s room, and a fire pump room under the mezzanine.
The attached office area will also include load-bearing masonry walls (with steel bar joists), as well as a metal deck, rigid polyisocyanurate insulation, and an EPDM single-ply roof membrane.
Besides providing design, construction (requiring several different trades), installing utilities, and construction management services, we need to design and build the concrete foundations in order to accommodate a 15-ton single girder bridge crane Seco will install at a later date to assist with their business operations.
As we continue to construct Seco’s new home in the city of Green, Ohio, we wish them the best of luck as they continue to grow their business!
Rico Manufacturing is an industry leader when it comes to designing and building engineered material handling equipment and custom built lift trucks for the most rigorous and demanding organizations across the globe, including the United States Army and Navy.
So, when it came time to design and build an addition onto their existing facility, they once again chose Campbell Construction for the project. In 2005 the Campbell team designed and built a 40,000 square foot production facility and offices for Rico at their Medina, Ohio headquarters.
The new 16,320 square foot addition was designed in-house by Campbell’s design/engineering team and is constructed with a Butler pre-engineered building which matched Rico’s existing building. Existing crane runways extend into the new addition and will allow Rico to increase production capacity. The decision to again utilize a Butler pre-engineered building was easy because they wanted to make sure they would again get Butler’s industry-leading MR-24 standing seam roof.
The Campbell team enjoyed the opportunity to work with Rico Manufacturing once again and wishes them well in the future!
Engineered Material Handling, a Valley City, Ohio based company and global leader in its field of designing, selling, manufacturing, installing, and servicing a complete line of overhead material handling equipment, including cranes hoists and other components, will celebrate their 30th anniversary in business this year.
Our relationship with EMH goes back to 1997 when Campbell Construction was chosen to design and build their new 42,225 square foot factory. In 2011 they again chose Campbell to design and build a 60,000 s.f. addition. This was followed by a 24,000 s.f addition in 2006 to what is now their 131,080-square foot, state-of-the-art global headquarters.
The EMH/Campbell relationship is more than just the design and construction of their original facility and multiple additions. Many of the facilities that Campbell has designed and built for other clients feature EMH cranes. Whether a 5-ton crane or a 300-ton crane, EMH is the go-to supplier of cranes to Campbell Construction.
In 2017 the EMH team contacted us again to design and construct a 4,855-square foot office addition to accommodate their growing office space needs.
The talented craftsmen of Campbell performed excavation, utility installation, carpentry, masonry, concrete, and steel erection services on this project which houses a 100-person training room, conference room, open office area, private offices, restrooms, lunchroom and storage rooms.
Overall, the Campbell Construction team outfitted EMH with a new, modern office space to provide them with an adequate area to meet the needs of their expanding business.
Please contact the Campbell Construction team for the design and construction of your next construction project.
Lisa Renee Wissing is a professional dancer from Northeast Ohio who has performed, taught, and studied dance across the United States and Canada. So when she reached out to Campbell Construction for design and construction services on a build-out of her studio in Bainbridge, we were excited to work with a professional from the area as she embarks on spreading her love of the arts and exercise to others.
Besides the regular construction tasks (such as new electric, plumbing, concrete and masonry work, and a fire suppression system) required to make Lisa’s studio an up-to-date space for her business, we also needed to take additional steps to ensure her studio spaces were state-of-the-art learning environments.
We undertook a build-out of the 7,200 square-foot studio in The Shops at Marketplace in order to allow Lisa to teach professional dance lessons for disciplines such as ballet, tap, hip-hop, and ballroom. But Lisa also required spaces for modern exercises such as Pilates, barre fitness, and dance team lessons.
A total of 3 studio spaces totaling nearly 3,000 square-feet featuring mirrors, top of the line acoustical panels, and ballet rails in order to ensure a quality learning experience for Lisa’s students. Other additional spaces that were built-out are devoted to dressing rooms (including private changing spaces), warm-up areas, and socializing with fellow students.
One of the studios even includes a recital space complete with seating to comfortably seat 300 people as they watch performances, workshops, and intensives.
The studio’s lobby area includes a unique retail section for items related to Lisa’s business.
This project resulted in a safe, inviting, and stimulating environment for students interested in professional dance, traditional movement classes, or exercise.
We are proud to be able to work on Lisa Renee’s Dance and Enrichment Studios, LLC, and provide a unique space for a growing business in Northeast Ohio.
When companies are feeling confident enough in their future, they invest in themselves. And when they invest in themselves this often leads to new construction to accommodate their future.

When we were tasked with construction of another design-build project for SOPREMA, an international/Wadsworth-based roofing and waterproofing company, we were excited to work with such a highly-touted group of people once again. Since we designed and built their original building in 1992 and numerous other expansions, this was a natural fit.
The design and construction teams of Campbell Construction were tasked with the design and construction of SOPREMA’S new liquid membrane facility, a 21,600 square-foot manufacturing facility and warehouse. A 2,400 mezzanine section was also included, bringing the total new construction in Medina County, Ohio to 24,000 square feet.
The new SOPREMA facility was designed specifically for the company’s liquid roofing products, which would be manufactured and stored on-site.
The new building, constructed in an existing asphalt-paved roofing product storage area, will include a recessed truck dock area with three truck positions, and one tanker truck unloading position.
This project also required the design and engineering team to include a new and reworked storm water sewer system, regrading of the site, and heavy-duty asphalt paving.
New underground electric, natural gas, sanitary sewer, fire, and domestic water services were also included in this latest project of quality construction provided by the Northeast Ohio design-build team at Campbell Construction Inc..
We had a pleasure working on SOPREMA’S new liquid membrane facility and look forward to their next expansion.
Our entire company takes great pride in any project we are asked to participate on. But when one comes along right in our own backyard in Wayne County, Ohio, it has an extra special meaning for us.
Having the privilege to work on the RAMTEC (Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative) facility at the Wayne County Schools Career Center in Smithville, Ohio was such a project.
This truly unique project — developed in collaboration between the career center and Wayne County manufacturers — required us to expand the current WCSCC building by an additional 15,000 square feet to house world class equipment and training for future workers in the advanced manufacturing sector.
Housed inside the RAMTEC facility is a state-of-the-art CNC lab, a robotics lab, and additional classroom space for students to learn to use the equipment of tomorrow.
But don’t just take our word for it.
“Campbell Construction met and exceeded our expectations,” wrote Lynn Moomaw, director of operations in the WCSCC administration. “This project was completed on time and under budget. Our students, staff, and business community are pleased with the results and we look forward to the building having a long-term impact.”
Our team at Campbell Construction is thrilled to have been a part of the process, humbled the WCSCC staff chose us to work on the project, and we look forward to the value the RAMTEC facility will add to our home county’s educational opportunities.
No project is too large or too small for the team at Campbell Construction, an experienced design-build construction company located in Northeast Ohio.
So, when we were brought on to build a new, state-of-the-art facility for Splash Car Wash in Green, Ohio (near Akron) we were ready to take on the challenge of constructing a new state of the art car wash facility.
Compared to some of our large industrial projects a car wash should seem like a simple task. But this new facility for Splash Car Wash featured 5,957 square feet of space in a tunnel-style structure.
The new car wash included an automatic drive-through wash facility with unique, and complicated, washing equipment situated around a new conveyor-based system which guides vehicles through the facility with ease.
Next, our construction team added even more parking spaces at the facility where driver have the opportunity to vacuum their own vehicles, as well as clean the rest of their interiors.
This total team effort — from the design team of Tony Cerny at Architectural Design Studios in Medina, to Campbell’s professional construction team — resulted in a modern, efficient car wash facility that is now open for business, where vehicle owners can clean their entire vehicle in a matter of minutes.
The entire Campbell Construction team was proud to work on this project for Splash Car Wash and we wish them well in the future with the finest car wash facility in Northeast Ohio.
